ABOUT
The Medicaid Learning Collaborative (MLC) is a national initiative of ACE Resource Network designed to help states advance policies and practices that prevent, identify, and respond to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress.
The MLC brings together State Medicaid leaders to transform how health systems address toxic stress to promote healing and improve lifelong health. Together, we are building a more connected and responsive system of care that improves outcomes for children and families, supports providers, and creates lasting change across generations.
OBJECTIVES
Charting the path forward.

Build the capacity of State Medicaid leaders to implement Medicaid policies that promote ACEs screening and prevent and treat toxic stress through access to technical assistance and evidence-based tools.

Advance systems and policy change surrounding early detection and early intervention of ACEs and toxic stress by supporting states in developing and implementing state-specific projects.

Facilitate cross-state learning grounded in the science of ACEs and toxic stress, and the lived experiences of those most impacted, through quarterly convenings of the Learning Collaborative.

Support Medicaid Agencies in strengthening partnerships with providers, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated support for families, and a diverse ecosystem of champions.
